Maderotherapy

Massage with sculpted wooden tools: rollers, cups and shaped boards that knead and roll the tissue with rhythm and pressure.

Maderotherapy, from the Spanish "madera" for wood, is a massage technique that uses hand-held wooden tools. Rollers with ridges, cupped shapes and contoured boards are moved over the skin in firm, rhythmic patterns.

The tools add pressure and rhythm that hands alone cannot easily keep up. At ICONIC, maderotherapy is part of our body sculpting treatments, combined with manual sculpting and, in Sculpt & Drain, with G5 massage and lymphatic drainage.

Benefits

What clients often notice when maderotherapy is part of their body sculpting routine. Results differ per person and are never guaranteed.

01

Rhythm and depth

The wooden tools keep a steady, firm rhythm across larger areas.

02

Warmth in the tissue

Rolling and pressing stimulate local circulation, which you feel as warmth.

03

Smoother-looking skin

With regular sessions, many clients see a smoother-looking skin surface.

04

A toned feeling

The treated areas often feel firmer and more awake afterwards.

05

Natural and manual

No machines: only wood, hands and technique.

06

Part of a complete session

Combined with sculpting, G5 and drainage for a full body ritual.

Questions

Frequently
asked

What is maderotherapy?

A massage technique using sculpted wooden tools, such as ridged rollers and cups, that knead and roll the tissue in firm, rhythmic patterns.

Can I book maderotherapy on its own?

At ICONIC, maderotherapy is part of our body sculpting treatments, such as Sculpt & Drain and ICONIC Sculpt. Choose one of those formats to experience it.

Is maderotherapy painful?

It is firm, and some areas can feel intense. We always adjust the pressure to your comfort.

Can it help with cellulite?

Many clients notice that the skin looks smoother with regular sessions. Cellulite is very individual, so we never promise a specific result.

Can I get bruises?

Mild redness is normal. If you bruise easily or take blood thinners, tell us beforehand so we can adjust or advise against it.

Are there any contraindications?

Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a fever or acute infection, thrombosis or severe varicose veins, open wounds or skin inflammation in the area, have recently had surgery, are receiving cancer treatment, have a heart condition or uncontrolled blood pressure, bruise very easily or take blood thinners. If in doubt, check with your doctor first.
